thinking of going to belgium for a long weekend to watch the classic racing.
now, my question is .... all the races i can find online, seem to be on tracks, but i have it in the back of my (failing) mind that there is a race held on public roads through towns & or villages (a la TT)
anyone got any info?

Aye Steve,
Good to see you re-surface from hibernation, bit like a hodmadod on a warmer February day looking for a green leaf! ;)
The link below should keep you occupied and planning for various jaunts across the Channel in the van. DFDS want huge money to sail from Newcastle and the Rosyth route has yet to be re-instated after subsidies and a lack of suitable vessels closed the service afore COVID, by some years.

Aye.... while you’re still allowed to. Yet more talk of some sort of ban coming in apparently 🙄
Enjoy the racing Steve if you do manage to get there👍

Aye Michael,
Living out in the sticks, though we are an exception, because we have the 6" HPG main running passed the cottage, there are few other economic options.
However, I believe that Steve has more panels than most, but I'm not sure of the windmills, all keeping those submarine batteries topped up with 24v going to an inverter.
No doubt the alternative energy could become a separate topic on this erudite forum! ;)
Off to split logs, with my grenade, 14lb sledge and 4lb axe, it keeps me troshin'.
Good health, Bill

I think my mind is finally giving up as I seem to be losing the ability to understand English. Bound to happen after all the head injuries I've had.

aye Bill, thanks for the info ... will check out the venues ... keep you posted...
with regards to power/heat, it's a mixed bag here
my workshop is powered by solar and wind... lights run off solar panels on the roof 240v ring runs off wind (24v) ' solar (24v) which run 4 12v batteries iinto a 48v 5Kw inverter. works ok, runs my wood lathe ok but balks at my arc welder.
house is heated by an AGA (oil) which also heats the water. 2 storage heaters as background warmth, and a sodding great wood burner in the living room which also rund 4 rads. wood costs me £150 a load, and 4 loads will last me Nov to March mostly on full time.
oil currently @ 70p per Ltr and guzzle 2500 ltrs a year!
230 year old farmhouse is a bloody liability this time of year .... and then some thieving towrag stole my heating allowance!!
next year i'm hibernating :-)
