Title: Norton Outfit

Was down at Clonakilty at the weekend for the Irish Jumbo Run (taking special needs kids out in the sidecar for the day) and thought you lot might like to see this lovely Norton outfit that was there.  750 miles done over the weekend on my own BMW outfit (Clonakilty is 330 miles from home).

very nice....
steib chair looks in good nick too
had one on my RE meteor a century or so ago .... so well engineered, way ahead of anything available in the uk, mine had a hydraulic brake on it.
properly set up and with a full load (luggage  and passenger in the chair) it was a joy to ride ...  ahh those were the days  .... sorry, i'll get my coat.....

thats lovely, but looking at your other pics, the katana sz didnt have black forks........

Not sure about the originality of the black forms John but that is Timbo's other half's 750 Katana of Canadian origin.

sz's all had silver frames forks and engine (sz has snowflake wheels and the big giveaway, all rubber footpegs and thee front engine mount bolts go right through the frame, th later sd had 16 or 19 inch fronts, multitudes of colour options and the wheels were straight six spokes, the front engine bolts went into captive inserts in the frame so didnt pass through.

Nice Norton, looks like a Model 19R - a 600cc OHV single which they produced for a couple of years allegedly as sidecar aficionados preferred rigid frames. More likely Norton had a pile of them in a shed at Bracebridge Street and wanted to use them up.
