Don't harrumph and certainly don't post on the off topic thread post. Best to left click on the "Report to Moderator" icon in the lower right corner of the message window, then the moderator can do some moderating!
The moderator might not always be logged into the site, so you may be the first to see the new thread/post. Reporting it remains anonymous to the spammer.
It's a pity Dieldrin, DDT and Aldrin are not still available!
