Introduction
« on: March 10, 2009, 04:23:12 PM »
I have been following this forum for several months now,so I thought I should introduce myself. To groans of despair from over the Bridge,I confess to being a fully paid-up member of the Taffia.A dyed-in-the-wool Welsh speaker. My interest in thumpers was rekindled when I acquired an XBR last summer;it brought back memories of a misspent youth on BSA thumpers.I also have a GPz750 and a Bantam, but I find the single produces more grins-per-mile.I'm probably sliding into senility.Anyway,I hope I'll meet some of you before too long.

Croeso!

.. from a Welsh speaker living amongst the Sais for the last 12 or so years!

I'm a bit rusty; "blew" as in fluff/fur? or am I completely off the mark?

I live in the upper reaches of the Swansea valley, near the Beacons.Yes,"Blew" as in hair/fluff.I used to have a dog of that name, but it could equally apply to my hairy face. Not as hairy as Jethro's though-old age, grey, bald patch etc.I tell everybody it's the roots growing through.

I grew up in Ystradgynlais and went to Maesydderwen School. There was always rivalry between the schools and villages on opposite sides of the river. An old friend once told me that when he reached the age of showing an interest in girls, his old aunt warned him "Whatever you do,don't go across the bridge"!!

Do you think they'd care to take loons from the one in Westminster and start one? I'm sure there is a mine shaft that needs filling in they could hold it in. Lets see them vote themselves a payrise when the voters control the winding gear!
