I wash it once a year but it always seems to get dirty again.

Are You a fair weather rider. You need to take it out into the rain to wash the dirt off.

Ok GC,

Is Cymru excrescence any worse than other from this collection of stepping stones in the NE Atlantic?

Park the motorcycle/outfit in a field of bovine and it'll be licked spotless. You may loose a few accessories, but that'll allow you to attach surplus stock from Ebay wheeling and dealing!

Spell check threw a wobble on 'Cymru', 'GC', 'Ok' and 'Ebay'. But tidied up my other gaffs! Still trying to learn how the 'native' tongue works!

Cheers, Bill

You should buy a new BMW. BMW will then write to you every 3 weeks even when they think the bike is 7 years old and actually blew up 4 years ago, offering to trade it. If you take them up on each of these offers you will always have a clean bike!

I never wash mine and it now has a fine petina of wildlife across its front. If the BBQ at Dent isn't ready come and feel free to break off a slice! Tastes like prawn (NOT porn Jethro).........

Only new bikes and broken bikes are clean, all others are in varying states of filthiness. If it still worries you then find a deep puddle and ride through at speed...

It wont make your bike clean but it will make pretty paterns and the can of WD40 you use getting it started again will ensure it smells delightful ;-)

Can anyone explain WHY my alloy rim has gone a rusty colour on the front of my Beemer ?

Ah HA !  A competition for those at Dent ?

Bend over and inspect my front rim ? On second thoughts I think we ought to leave that one out.

I think its due to a cast iron disc.
And nothing to do with Prawns or Porn.

Wouldn't the cast iron sacrifice itself and preserve the other metals if it was a voltaic reaction thingy?

The cast iron has been in counsilling and no longer feels the need to sacrifice itself for the health of other metals.  Also I am having a con rod treated for post traumatic stress disorder....
