Aske Hall Sprint
« on: May 29, 2022, 07:15:38 PM »
July 2nd is date for this event near Richmond N Yorks. If you are close enough to come and watch it is a good day out, better still enter ! This is one of the sprints I did on my GN250 a couple of times, sorry to say I won`t be on it this time but on a silly little Honda twin.....it`s taking part that counts !

Well Mr Spooky you might just have another spectator there as that sounds good to me. I shall put it in my diary. I won't be competing but will be on the Mighty Midget so at least there will be a GN250 from Thumper Club there in some form.

Afternoon Rufus,

That auld saying "Read the label!" applies, I believe, a Honda "CM200".  ;)

All the best for the sprint.

Good health, Bill

Hi Rufus

Do you know how much the entry fee is for spectators at this event please? For some reason the Wrench Wench wants to know how much it will cost me to have a ay out on Saturday! I didn't ask her how much her night out with the girls cost on Friday! Should I move this to rants?

No entry fee, practice runs start at 10.00 then 12.00 to 13.00 is lunch  and timed runs will start at 1.00.

directions just in case...from south go left onto A66 after a couple of miles or so turn left B6274 signed Gilling West, then about 3 miles. Look for Dunlop arrow, don`t go in bottom entrance , the Lord doesnt like it ! go up to arched gateway towards Richmond.

No catering vans, bring your flask but there will be a portaloo.   hth

Great day out, 2 practice runs and 4 timed runs, bike was better than i expected and was doing comparable times to my old GN250. No results yet but i am confident i wasn`t last.

A panther slopes if I’m not mistaken? They used to be made very close to where I was brought up in Bradford. A place called cleckheaton. They used to test them up this mega steep hill, (which I forget the name of 🤦???) I had a mate that was mad about them when I/we were younger

Hi Rufus

Sorry I didn't get to Aske Hall in the end, but glad you had a good set of runs. Like the Panther too, great to see it being used,
