Not sure if I would go that far, but with the 650cc conversion, they certainly appear to be "worth throwing a leg over".

No, defo not Bill. I personally always thought they were an over rated bike, purely from the design point of view. The standard XBR was way cheaper and equally as good performance wise. So to me it was a no brainier (as our American cousins would say) Just thought there’d be a couple of TC members who might enjoy looking at the pics 😉👍

I understand from extensive reading on a US based site which has a lengthy area devoted mostly to the GB500 that it was in fact slightly down on power compared with the XBR. But opinions, as they say are like a certain bodily featrure - everyone has one....
