The Goose is just about ready for its maiden flight!!!!!
« on: June 15, 2007, 07:00:51 PM »
I have just posted some up to date pics of my latest project.Bike is ready for the first run although there are a few bits to tidy up(chain guards, expansion tank, another back wheel in black:-ebay special in the post,a couple of bolts for the rear sets, probably something else but cannot think of it just now),It looks better in the photos than it is in the flesh, but my idea is to see what it rides like and if its as good as i am hoping then i will strip it and re paint etc over the winter.

When its on the road I'll have to come over and see if it looks and rides as good on the road as it looks on your work bench.

I managed to get out on her yesterday but only up the lane as no MOT,tax of insurance.Went ok but need to get a better run realy.Rear suspension seems a bit soft and it blew the top of the temp expansion tank which could have been a major problem as it is taped to the top of the petrol tank an spewed boiling water all over but luckily i was just opening my garden gate when it went off.

Can you remind us what the component parts are:

I'm guessing mainly Goose (Doh!) with an NC24/30 rear swing arm and an XT/SZR660 lump?

Well done Mav,nine out of ten,the engine is from a Muz Scorpion complete with the exhaust that bolted straight on without any mods.Ive fabricated the rear engine/swing arm mount and the front down tube along with an oil tank that is under the seat, everything else is Goose more or less.

Do you fancy a run out to Barton bike night on the 11th july. I Know me and steveD did it  a couple of years back.
Should give it a bit of a run out and a chance to show it off.
