2015 Shepherds Rest camping weekend

So, just home from the Shepherds Rest. We had a great weekend and ride out. Sixteen camping from as far afield as Southampton, Huddersfield, Chester and Cork. And a great mix of bikes on the ride out, which was very windy but stayed dry. Bikes included a DR350, CCM644, KLR250, SR500, Guzzi 350, Vigor, brand new Enfield bullet, Honda 750, DRZ 750 special, Tenere. and we explored some of the minor roads of the Sperrins. The only casualties were due to over indulgence the night before 

So we're going to do it all again next April, over the weekend of the Cookstown 100 road races. I don't have the exact dates yet, but the Cookstown 100 is normally around the third weekend in April, and the Shepherds Rest is approx. ten miles away.

Dates are out for the two biggest irish road races in 2015, the NW200 and Ulster Grand Prix, but unfortunately not yet for the Cookstown 100. It is normally the third wknd in April, and as soon as I can confirm this for certain I will post it here. So watch this space

Hi All. Here is a date for your diaries. There will definitely be a Thumper weekend at the http://shepherdsrestpub.com/ and campsite in the heart of the Sperrins over 24-26th April 2015. I have just had the date of the Cookstown 100 roadraces confirmed as Saturday 25th April, and reckoned it would be a good idea to combine the two.
We will probably also have a ride-out on the Saturday for those who don't fancy the road racing. We will also use Slim's Café in Draperstown.
So no excuses as you've plenty of notice this time
