Hello everyone, sorry I havent been on here much this winter, but its been a difficult year, my wife almost died and the bike project got put on hold for a while. However its finally finished, I still cant find a suitable ally swinging arm for it but I compleated everthing else and for a bonus my wife bought me a very shiny early birthday presersnt to go on the bike :) here is a video if you are interested in  the build.....

Aye Joolz, very pleased to read that your wife has recovered and you have been able to finish 2024 rebuild. Long may your wife stay in good form. The tank looks just the ticket. I hope that you are able to get out for a canter on the beastie and if at all possible take your wife on the pillion.

Thank you for posting the video.

Good health, Bill

Sorry to hear of your wife's illness and glad there has been a happy conclusion.

Your special is really beautiful and obviously built using a lot of talent. I hope you get it out and about soon as I am intrigued to know what the supercharger brings to the party!

Thanks for the good wishes, the supercharger makes a huge difference, it pulls the greaing easily and will top 130mph yet it will roll on quite happily at tick over in 1st, it doest matter if you are in too higher gear entering a corner as the torque will pull it out easily without having to downchange

That sounds really good, as though the supercharger makes the XBR act more like a traditional thumper. I remember my XBR as needing to go down a gear or two to pull out of corners etc. Enjoy the fruits of your labour.
