"If you ever come across the sea to Ireland"
« on: June 24, 2017, 09:36:50 PM »
Here's a couple of dates and a suggestion. The ever popular Powers the Pot, (used to be an MZ rally, now an RE rally, but open to anyone), will be 11 and 12 August, at guess where? The Powers the Pot, in the mountains a couple of miles from Clonmel.
Then the following wknd, 18 and 19 August, the MZ Riders Club are having their UK national rally and AGM at Garrison, on the banks of Lough Melvin on the Fermanagh border, and again, I reckon we can turn up on anything.
My plan, hopefully, is to attend both, with a trip up the full length of the west coast of Ireland on Wild Atlantic Way on the days in between, and anyone who fancies it, is welcome to join me  :)

That sounds like a plan.

I must say, you guys are always on the go and are setting the standard. Clonmel is close enough to here and The West, well, it is only marvellous on a good day. And I don't even have to cross the sea. I'm going to run out of excuses soon  :o

Keep up the good work and the mile munching!

Yes, I'm very lucky, and also determined to make the most of my biking adventures at the moment. Must be the realisation that I'm starting to get on a bit . :-\

There will be half a dozen from the REOC staying at the Shepherds Rest from Monday 7th to Friday 11th August, and they plan to watch the practice and racing on Thursday 10th, but will of course miss the main race day on Saturday 12th.

I'm hoping you've got your dates wrong or I'm up the creek without a paddle ? The 9th is Wednesday  so will be there for Thursday's race then staying till Monday so I can see the racing Saturday 12th and also want to see some of NI's sights ie giants causeway and joeys etc.
Hopefully catch up with  yourself , Tony and Chris at some point for a beer.
Cheers Mark
Ps all welcome .

Have a large garden near Toome in County Antrim with camping space if ever needed.

That's a very kind offer , if I get evicted from Sheperds rest for deviant behaviour I'll look you up (only joking ) once again that's very generous .
Cheers Mark :)
