Is cycling carbon neutral, if you have bought one of these carbon bikes?

My old Dawes 'Horizon' (at present languishing in the workshop rafters) is more carbon neutral than the latest "featherlight" (maybe rephrase that! ) erectile dysfunction compensator for OMIL's!

Wouldn't bamboo fibre be more "green" than Lycra fibre and yet still achieve the form hugging, wind cheating, svelte appearance desired by an OMIL?

Twice as much as my motorbike.... good grief at 12 mucho grando for the CCM I certainly wouldn’t be parting with 24 mucho grando for a push iron. Although I’m sure in This crazy world we live in there are push irons that cost that amount? 😉🚴

as you may (or may not) know, Mike Burrows is a good and long term friend of mine, having raced all sorts of bikes and trikes together over the years. Now. mike was the designer and prototype builder of the 'Lotus Bike' that Chris Boardman won gold in the 4Km persuit in barcelona 1992
last week i was speaking with mike, and he had just heard that a lotus 108 (the bike that was used in the olympics, there were 15 made)
sold for in excess of £30k !! so it more than double trumps your KTM Moto63 :-)

Yes I remember that bike well at the olympics, extremely cool at the time.(as was Chris Boardmans crash helmet) However I still wouldn’t pay more for a push bike than a motorbike. Oh and it’s a CCM I’ll have you know, ktm’s Are SO yesterday 😁😉
