Prescott Festival Of Bikes
« on: June 25, 2023, 06:11:45 PM »
Just had a brilliant day here with Timbo. What a great event! My favorite bike had to be the 20's Martinsyde V Twin 8n very oily rag condition. Sounded great going up the hill too!

Some cracking photo’s Pete. Thanks for sharing.
Timbo…. Now there’s someone who is missed on this fair site. Used to enjoy his input and views. Please pass on my regards if you see him again Pete 👍 Oh and tell him to get back on here for some general banter
Cheers. Michael

Great pics. Looks like a great event. There's a bike event coming up at Shelsley Walsh this coming Saturday IIRC which I intend going to.

Interestingly there's a (purported) Grey Flash in the upcoming Pugh auction as well as lots of other tempting lots.....

Hi Tommy, the last bike is a ratted BSA M21 IIRC. Timbo is fine - I'll see if he can be persuaded to come back on here...

Just had a quick shufti and the Grey Flash at Pugh's fetched £42,000 before commission. Expensive to me when a Commando which looked complete only made £2,600 and a scrambles DBD34 Goldie (a real one) went for £5,900.

42k seems cheap for a grey flash (if genuine).. but, as you say prices seem to be a depressed at the moment, like the rest of the country :-)

Yes, looking through other results I would say that the bikes that sold (and many didn't) were fetching no more than say 2/3 of what they might have done a year or so ago. Good news for buyers, not so good for sellers.
