SRX and CR33's
« on: August 06, 2007, 05:41:18 PM »
Ive been trying to sort out my carbs today. I have fitted a Lambda sensor and wired it up to a DVM, proving to be quite useful. The CR are VERY sensitive to air screw positioning, 1/4 or a turn can have it popping and banging all over the place. I got fed up with pulling the tank off so I rigged up a plastic fuel tank and strpped it to the bike. Very odd riding without a petrol tank. Every time I got on it my firts thought was 'My god this is rattly' then realised the lack of a tank made the noise far more obvious.
Carbs seem to be getting there, but since I dont have an MOT I cant really test it out. Good enough to ride to the station though
Oh and I also found out that riding without the breather pipe attached makes a real mess !!!!!.
