I can only report on one day of the weekend. I took up my son (5 years old) and we camped on the Friday night.

It was great, there was a good turnout and a large group of us spent an enjoyable evening in the bar nattering and having a good time.

Some of the other guys spent days up there so I'll leave it to them to fill in the rest.

For myself, I had a good rideout on the Saturday afternoon over to Hay on Wye to get a new water carrier. Got back about 4 o clock ish and a few minutes later a whiteout! Saw what I thought was mist coming down the valley and then the rush of wind and then before I could dash down to my tent the snow came down. I dashed into my tent and made a nice cup of tea as I watched a big group of Duke of Edinburgh kids struggling to get their tents up in the snow and wind! Half an hour later Jules, Viv and Jethro marched up, saying that they also had got cought up in the weather on a walk.
Obviously we went to the pub! (only for a couple before dinner)
Later Jules very kindly invited me to dine in his tent and what a meal, mashed potato, cabbage and salmon and a bit of veal mmmmmmm.
We again went to the pub , but by half nine we were the only ones there with the barman nearly asleep in a chair!
Good nights kip and set off after a rainy spell in the morning.
Lovely ride back to Mart P's house to drop off the DR and say goodbye to it. Mart gave me a lift home.
Another splendid weeekend. (missed by some!)
