xbr /xl 600 motor

hi guys and gals just got another xbr ;this one is a basket case; most of the bits are there and look good but heres the problem there is no xbr motor with it .it has2 xl 600 motors [the old red motors]. they motors are stripped down ,ican build these myself but am wondering about a few things before i start work on it gearing compared to the xbr ;carbs the xl has 2 carbs ' and wiring problems it would be a nice project as there is a big bore kit and hot cam with it .......so if anybody has any adviceit would be very helpful thanks guys    tommy ;dublin;

Can't remember the name of the guy but someone on the US thumper pages did an article about racing an XBR where he went into detail on the differencwes and similarities between these motors,

Type or paste : xbr/xl600  into the 'Search' frame, top left of this page and you may get the answers you are looking for. ;) Alternatively a fellow 'tweaker' who might be able to help. ;D

read the GB500 FAQ on the Thumper Page - it'll tell you all you need to know. Except you don't need to slot the engine mounts.
