Petrol/ shellac fuel stove.

I had the pleasure to view a little engineering marvel the other day. Our scout leader pulled out this older type stove, it was Swedish, probably purchased when he was a kid.
It looked like a bikkie tin, had a beautifully crafted fuel tank, with a slide out mechanism, and was about 5x5x3 innches and had a separate "clockwork style key on a chain used to operate the valve and which also doubled as a spanner for cleaning the jet. He said it sounds like a 747 when its lit.

Anyone had any experiences with this type?

BTW its not for sale.

Sounds Like an Optimus too me !
If it had a pump to pressurise it then it would be the 111.
If not then the smaller 7R.

Both bloody good stoves ! For all weathers and conditions.
I use a 111B'and must admit of the stoves I have used over the years I find it the best by far

nah, if its trick cooking, then look for a woodgas stove. ive got one and its fabulous!
