29-30th May Diesel Bike Rally

Details of this year's event are here:   www.dieselbike.net

I owe a bloke at work a favour and I think I have to do a shift for him on the Saturday night, but I'm going to try and work around this. If not I shall pop up to the Bat & Ball on the Friday night.

Thanks for posting that Bill, I've been meaning to get to that rally for years now, perhaps this year I will manage it.

Take the van !

Rob .

Why Not ?  Make a change from a Volvo or having a lift in a Landy !

OR take a wheel off and call it a totally enclosed outfit.

Yes, quite fancy it, if I can get a pass.

It's only 50 odd miles away from me, so just round the corner.

I have to say it is in quite a nice location and the roads around there aren't too busy considering it's in the South East. The pub is good, with live music and decent beer, and there is (or at least there was last year) an extensive food menu (although a little on the expensive side). Also, your never too sure who is going to be pitching up in the next field - could be a bike club, could be a classic car meet.

Simon Morgan popped in today with his wife Sarah and lovely daughter Sioned. We provisionally arranged that I will ride to his place in Reading on the saturday morning and then we'll ride to the rallysite. We'll camp saturday night and enjoy the rally ambience in the pub.
