Can I flag up a nice chap down my way .

"Gerard has asked that as he has now stopped building and repairing wheels could we only use him in emergencies, he can and will do wheel work but only in certain cases, call him and he will make a decision. I called him with Mol's Viper wheel, he said yes, quoted 3/4 days and phoned me back 4 hours later to collect the wheel, a super job, new nipples etc. £60 all in. If you are near he is worth a call,

He's called Gerard and as a second job he builds wheels .He did a smashing job on the rear wheel of the RS at a very resonable price . Above all he was quick . He doesn't do the finishing and polishing , or stoving . However he measured the offset , cut out the wheel and I returned home with the hub and rim . Polished rim , painted hub and he did it on the day I got the bits back to him .

I appreciate if you're a bit further away then the above is tricky , however trying to find people like Gerard these days can be awkward .

I can recommend this bloke. I took a wheel to him yesterday to be checked and trued and he rang me today to say it was done. Good friendly service and the job (including some new stainless spoke nipples) cost £15.

This morning(Sunday)i had a problem with the Tiger front wheel,
one of the stainless nipples had broken,noticed this when i changed the tyre,doing this because im due to ride to Germany on Friday,
i rang Gerard this morning,told him my plight,"bring it up now" he said,"i'll do it for you no probs",was'nt even going to charge me,
but i gave him some beer tokens,what a star!,
