Father & son camp
« on: May 03, 2009, 06:16:12 PM »
I'm planning to take my 12 year old Matt to Llanthony on the 6th June for a nights camp. We're getting there early and going off to do a section of the Monks route walk before coming back to base, filling our faces and going to the pub for some father/son bonding. Anyone want to join us?? Don't have to have kids or go on the walk, but you will be expected to go to the pub. ;D

Having started this thread, I'm going to be pulling out sorry.

I was taking #1 son camping because his brother was away camping with the cubs and I thought a bit 1 to 1 of father/son time might be nice. Turns out now that #1 sons' scouts have gone and organised a camp that same weekend due to the moans from parents with similar split siblings as me. These folks wanted both kids off at the same time. Now Mrs Squirrel has cottoned on to both boys being away she nabbing me all to herself. Lucky me you might think, but I fear for my wallet  :'(

The result of all this messing about is I wont be going to Llanthoney. Sorry.
