After last night I would have a hell of a job getting out of here at all - it's all a bit white at the moment.

To be honest guys, I hope the snow and ice bu99er off before the Dragon this year. Really don't fancy the VX on the slidey stuff, especially along the A roads of Mid Wales :'(

With you on the Anglesey front GC. Don't mind the ride over, it's just a crappy site. Is this Dragon the big 50??

Nah, this one is the 49th, the big 5 0 next year. I got a feeling this years is going to be somewhere between Betws and Conwy.  ::)

I'm with Gc and hope it's not on Anglesey. Perhaps for this and next year it will be in Snowdonia. Too much to hope it's at Beddgelert again, that really was a fine site in '08.
Personally, I'm hoping for snow again. I think Pat , that the problem with the VX is not the weight, but the wheelbase. It's a long bike and probably steers like the Titanic, which is made worse by the ice and snow, also a problem experienced by the Titanic.

I remember reading on another forum that the rally is unlikely to be held at Beddgelert again, something to do with ''complaints by incomers'' or something similar.I don't know if there is any truth in this.I agree with Rob,it was a cracking site.

Still no details in the post  :(

On the plus side, I have negotiated a big tub of beef stew for the saturday night, courtesy of my dad's cafe.

I also thought that if the Llanberis crowd want to save money then we can cook up a big spag bol or suchlike for the Friday night. The kitchen and lounge at the bunkhouse are well up to the job and it would give us more wonga for the funny little pub over the road.  ;)

Now that sounds good to me. We can get 'materials' from the Spar shop or bring stuff up. We need to cater for 11 persons and then just share the cost.
If I'm not working I'll be away on my bike camping!

Not much of a cost for a big spag bol  ;)

Of course I would need to rustle up a veggie version for Liz, but that's easy enough.

If we agree on it then I will get Gareth to pick up a heap of mince from his tame butcher. As you say we can buy the rest of the ingredients from the local shop.
