Sorry chaps, been busy, Yes Stafford is on. Who wants to exhibit?

GC

Can do if you want?
I'll probably need to share a van up with people though. Not fussed if not wanted.

Still count me in, but maybe we should opt for a low key stand this time around!

Any details on ticket, camping fees for this show?
Crusty ???
Hi Crusty. The club gets a free ticket allocation, inclusive of camping, dependent upon numbers of bikes on the stand. Your new Tenere on the stand would be a great contrast against Ifors Norton. Bikes need to be on the stand from Friday evening/early Saturday morning until Sunday evening (16:00-ish).

Rs is available but need to check new rota.

Rob .
I won't take my RS if you're taking yours but will tootle along with the XTZ!

See you all soon, hopefully...

I'd like to bring Rex (SRX 600 project) along if there's room please. He may not be a runner but I can push!!

Time is marching on.
As I dont know if the club still has a stand or not I am with drawing my offer.

The last time I offered I ended up loosing a days overtime.
So I am not prepared to loose another days pay or holiday. :(

Are you a mind reader? I was thinking exactly the same thing. Yet again a total lack of courtesy from GC has left everyone who has volunteered their time, bikes etc. completely in the dark. Sadly, like so many former TC supporters*, I just can't be ar$ed anymore; so count me out as well!

* avoided the term member as that's another on-going saga!!!!!!!!!

I dont like to cause a hornets nest to be stirred but surely the show is still on as GC stated sometime ago. I do realise what people are saying so......

Are we in or are we out?

The last time I offered my bike/time and help I declined the offer of a days overtime.
No details of the show or explanation was forth coming.
When I asked at a later date what had happened the reply was
"I thought you were joking,so didnt pass on any information"
I passed that off as a genuine missunderstanding(?)
And lost a few pennies in the process.

Yes I have the weekend off,but do need to know IF my time is required so I can book the Friday off to travel up on CG or whatever.
I am not prepared to book time off to loose it for nothing.
I dont have a problem with helping or taking part in Club events, but do need to know when and where so that I can sort things out. That being work and travel arrangements.

Sod it!

I'm going to the dogs instead (Nottingham greyhound stadium to be precise  ;) )

I'll have to try out the brand new sleeping bag another time.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you guys. I've been a tad busy and when I chased up Mortons it transpired that there had been some confusion and misdirected emails. They have gone over to an Email-only system this year and in our case there had been some problems.

Finally, yesterday, I had confirmation that WE HAVE A STAND AT STAFFORD. All I need now is names, bikes and details of numbers.

I haven't got time this morning to read this thread but I understand that there have been some cancellations. I can only apologise if people got fed up of waiting. However if you still want to display your bike and have a great free weekend at Stafford then let me know and we can kick this along.

Anyway, got to dash, I have to go to work (been there a lot lately  :()

Phew! Would have been seriously p1ssed off if this had been cancelled. This was my only planned event this year (apart from sneaking off to Llantony on day/night release).

I'm up for the weekend and if there are not enough bikes for the stand now, you can stick the XT on.

Bad planning on my behalf but Im on holiday till the 17th BUT my son has heroically volunteered to ride the SRX hybrid to Stafford...(aww poor him)..I do hope everyone that goes will enjoy the show ..I know most of us have our own views of Mortons, but at the end of the day its a damn fine show they put on....trouble is..they need a few bikes to make it work.

I dont seem to do a lot when it comes to organising these sort of events but I do appreciate those that do put the work in.

Feck! I just read through the posts in this thread  :o

Sorry guys, all my fault (aided by the mighty Morton's show apparatus).

I spoke to Boyd earlier and he is going to come along and show his XT660. Boyd told me that Martyn Peters was pencilled in, but I spoke to Martyn and he feels that he is not yet ready to camp out for the weekend because of his injured arm.

Thank you Ian, Mark, Ifor, Boyd and Pat for your offers. I will be sending the entrants list to Mortons tonight and they will issue tickets to me. I should have these in plenty of time to post them out (recorded delivery of course).

Anyone else up for a good freebie weekend? The stand will be run in much the same way as the recent Uttoxeter show, on an informal and relaxed basis without any requirement for entrants to hang about and/or deal with the punters.

Once again I can only apologise for being out of circulation for so long, trust me when I say that the reasons were genuine and very pressing.
