Well Kurt, everything is relative... one man's intellectual may be another's er... (what's a PC word for idiot  :o ??)

Are there any mountains 8) near Perth, near in European terms?

Are you infering Sir, that GC is an intellectual?

LOL  :D I hardly think that's likely. I read the latest instalment of Stephen Fry's autbiography this christmas and there were passages of that I struggled with  ;)

Most motorcyclists seem to think that it's an absence of brain cells that leads to the fitting of a sidecar.

Or the assured series of sudden impacts following the fitting which guarantee the absence of brain cells?  ;) :D :P

Hi Alice, just remember that most of us are here because one cylinder and two wheels is all our brains can handle.

The intellectuals have 3 wheels or an extra cylinder  ::)

Hmmm I think Im in halfway house then...I have 2 bikes, 3 cylinders and 4 wheels...dunno where this is leading tho.

btw....A Very warm welcome to you Alice and as was said before (in a fashion) photos would be really nice, but again not obligatory. There is a wealth of knowledge in this club, to be extracted as and when necessary, but the sarcasm can be very alarming (and off putting) sometimes ;)

Only if you can talk Landrovers, own a petrol stove and bring the short bread  ;D

Does the fact I now have 4 cylinders and three wheels make me like a rocket surgeon or summink?  ???

Actually, I'm far happier with the MZ level of technology. Welcome to the nut house, you sound like someone who'll fit right in.  ;)

Att El Vencejo,

Yes we have very high mountains closer to us than the European hills, They are tho innacessible as we would have to cross the sea to get to them in northern India/Nepal ::) ::) ::). Perth itself has several very high seamounts not too far off shore, and some rocks called the Stirling Ranges down south. We also have the Darling Ranges approx 30 klm from Perth which rise to a lofty 300 meters. Other than that its rather pretty flat.
The sunny Riviera like beaches here make up for lack of curves with curves of a different kind.

Att GC , I know what you mean ,I used rule "1.5lb ball pien hammer to forehead" method before setting off on the outfit. I would occaisionally reapply treatment when on longer trips.

PS  I have also owned a series 3 (88) and RR I should have stopped the hammer treatment much earlier.

I mentioned the "88" as well with the series 3 so you would know I wernt bullshytting LOL, in fact I only had the one, the series 3 with the short wheel..... ooooh you know what I mean...

My outfit was also plaqued with a spare cylinder at the time but it was a two banger so is that the equivalent of a four?

Att El Vencejo,

Good and bad... the mountains around here are around 2000m, the beaches of the southern med. are just 45mins away and our nearest are populated mostly by large German women; think retired East German shot putters, 1980's  :-\  :)

Hi Alice, I don't travel North much, but let me know if you ever fly into Málaga... smuggle in shortbread and custard creams  :)
