You've a good man! Got my little parcel of brilliant tourist booklets this morning. All I need to do now is work out where I'm going.

Thanks again

Hi,

our ferrys are booked and we plan two weeks for this trip. One week up from Harwich on the east coast to Yorkshire Dales and Lake District through Galloway. With ferry from Cairnryan to Larne on Friday and after that to the Irish Rally. On sunday through Ireland in one week down and arround to our next ferry - Rosslare - Fishguard - then the fast way home. Hartmut will be with us to visit the first time Ireland!

We`re happy to be there see you next time
Regards Bettina, Matthias and Hartmut

Hey Ronnie, any space for a Yorkshireman?. This is now in my diary and I plan to make a few days of it, possibly meet up with some of the other miscreants ???
If I'm not working I'll be away on my bike camping!

Hello Steve,

Great you can make it to the rally. Being a Yorkshireman, I know you are fond of fresh air, so you can pitch up between Chris and Tony. You'll like it over here, in summer the rain gets quite warm.

Hi Ron,

I've just been in touch with 'Just Ferries' (Kirsty) and received a quote for crossing over to you guys.

My intention is to travel from Huddersfield down to South Wales on the Monday and spend a night somewhere down there, then........

Fishguard to Rosslare Tuesday 24th @14:30 - 16:00 then camp ride for the next few days to meet up with you guys for the 'official' meet.

Return Belfast to Cairnryan Monday 30th 15:30 - 17:50 then spend another night somewhere in Dumfries before returning home.

Not having travelled by bike to Ireland do you think I will have enough time to cross over to the West and then travel up to the meet?

Oh aned I was quoted £85 return! :D

Hello Steve,

Sounds ok to me. You might even bump into some of the others on your way. I know some people are spending extra days at the rally site, I'll probably be there from Thursday onwards. If there is enough interest we can organize a run for both Friday/Saturday.

Ron.

That sounds good to me as well, i just wanted to run my plans by you guys to see if I had made any glaring mistakes in my plans with the ferries and timing. :P
Now I just need to earn lots of beer tokens (Is Guiness a beer?) :o
...........and I'll need co-ordinates for the meet site. :D

Cheers SteveD

Hello Steve,

Never mind those high-tech co-ordinate thingys, just go to Draperstown and ask someone.  Mind and bring enough beer tokens for me.

Ron.
