Starting again.....

Just when I thought it was safe to go back into the garage.....I saw the "Hybrid" looking a little forlorn on one side....I was never 100% happy with the frame that I had to use at the time (Frames seem to be like buses,  none at all then a loads appear at once). Anyway to cut a long story a bit shorter, I obtained a frame off beeman (thank you John) which I have repaired & had powder coated the same colour  and Im now in the process of rebuilding it, improving and modifying as and where necessary. A change of colour for the paintwork is on the cards (no suggestions this time Bill!!) as I bought a NOS front mudguard off fleabay.
Progress will be recorded as and when I can find time.

(Original frame now scrapped)

Old frame made un-useable ....I was surprised or rather shocked to see how easy it was to cut the frame in two...very soft metal (according to spec "High Tensile Square Tubing)

Rebuilding "new" frame now with hacked down airbox (to suit larger battery req for leccy start) and rear mudguard. I need to seal the airbox rubber flaps against the frame and rear plastic guard. I think pop rivets and sealant may come into play this time. Any thoughts Bill? (not enough bluetack available). Top/bottom yokes already fitted with taper roller brgs. Im off to see the sprayer on Monday to negotiate either a new colour scheme or an update of present one. (Depending on result of this will determine if seat needs recovering or not). Im hoping to see this one back on the road early summer.

Just had a few hours to spare after I had been out to the local bike meet with the Monoshock. (Yes it is being ridden!). Started to put the wiring harness back on to the "new hybrid". OMG I had forgotten how I did it first time (2 and half years ago!!! I need to find the photos out and complete the job....altogether tho having said that, a satisfying evening in the garage. More news soon!
