You say that this bike started burning oil after you last changed it. What type of oil did you use? Was it a quality motorcycle oil I was thinking you may have used a detergent oil thats more for diesel engines as this would wash away the carbon from the rings and could start it burning oil. The other thing you need to pay attention to is as was mentioned is the blow by or breathing. Try to locate the breather pipe and with a warm engine have a look at how much is blowing out. You can expect a little but if its blowing fumes its possible you have worn bored and rings. Does it smoke?
