I could only make the Saturday as Friday was my sons birthday, and I spent the day on a very enjoyable hike with SteveH. Saturday night was a very gentle affair which saw Rick force 2 pints of stout down my neck! The first left me feeling light headed and I had to have a pint of squash after the second just to get to the tent. This 'No drinking' malarky has made me a serious light weight in more ways than one.
Clear skies meant a beautiful view of the Milky Way and a nip in the air. You just don't get to see stars like that in towns and I couldn't take my eyes of it. Stunning.
Sunday morning was met gently as I had managed to get a mild hangover from 2 pints and it was gone 11 before I broke camp. Headed for home via Hay, Monmouth & Chepstow on the lanes and back roads. Lervly.
Nice little chill out prior to the Christmas mayhem.
Cheers
