Started to plan(ish) this now as I'm off to Normandy soon and will only have a day or two when I get back.
Food cannot be provided by the Inn so it'll be grilled stuff on the Friday evening, breakfast rideout Sat am, cheese and port Sat pm and grilled stuff in the evening and hopefully some cake. Bacon and egg rolls Sun am.
The Inn will set up a bar in the field with ale straight from the wood. There will be some fire and a little bit of music far away in a little gazebo for the girls to have a dance.

Hey Mark sorry will not be able to make your 50th birthday rally due to the impending house move to Aberaeron on 20 June. Hope you have a good one and an enjoyable sojourn in Normandy. The plus factor is I can definitely make it next year as it will only be down the road to Cwmdu!!!! Cheers. Cliff

What time are you expecting to be there? As it is not a campsite call at the Cwmdu Inn and tell the landlord Dave who personally owns the field why you are there and ask where to camp.(I don't think you were there last year)

Nope I was not there last year, something to do with two broke knees!

I have purchased a very big map of the area (OS 1:50000) and I have Google Earthed it! Looks great for a bit of exploring.
Programmed into GPS, bike fettled, sunshine expected, Rock on!

Hi all, Nipped down to CUMDOO yesterday to see the Birthday boy Mark and meet the other TC members, with #1 cycling up from Cardiff !!! after a chat we set off to a nice little cafe at Llandovery, #1 travelling in Jethro's chair complaining of a sore b*m, after more chatting and food we set off over the Black Mountain on quiet roads to a Welsh built castle....some walked up to visit, some stayed at base chatting, then back to the campsite...more chatting, then I set off for home....just under 500Km's round trip including the rideout, on my DR800 (750 engine).
A pleasant day out.
