Yes it's that time of the year again, Carol Nash have contacted me to see whether the TC would want a stand at this years show.

If we go for the same stand as last year we would need a minimum of 4 bikes to make a reasonable display, therefore if any of you are interested in showing a bike please let me know as soon as possible.

Morning Gareth , soon comes round does,nt it. Fairly sure I,d be up for it again, still got the cafe racer and unless someone comes along and offers me some folding money for it can,t see it going anywhere. Have,nt touched the ikuzawa as yet so probably not much point in bringing that down. Plus kindda don,t want to rub Graham's nose in it, as I know he did,nt really want to part with it. Still not got the XBR "tracker" sorted as I,ve been building a gs500 (aargh a twin I hear you cry) so again not much point in bringing it down. I,ll have a word with big bro and see if he fancies it but count me in. Be good to catch up with you fellows.  Best regards Michael

Sunday morning 7am.  It,s SHOW TIME. See ya all down there??? Unfortunately without the cafe racer this year due to my big "get off" back in early September, still looking forward to meeting up with the blokes on the "thumper club" stand. Oh and sorry if I kindda put a stick in spokes Gareth

Went to stafford yesterday, good to see the guys again ( Gareth, graham and ian) nice chatting to you all. What a lovely friendly bunch of blokes, by far the most approachable club stand at the show, keep it up guys. The only thing missing (arguably) was a nice cafe racer to potentially draw the REAl BIG crowds (LOL). The srx is still looking great Ian, you,d never know it had fallen over, cracking job of the repairs mate. (Hope the "jelly babies") measured up ok??. I,ll try and crack on with the XBR street tracker and the rs250 (as soon as broken arms are fixed) hopefully be back next year, till then. Live life. Regards to all concered Michael

Glad to hear you all had a great time at Stafford, and hope you are on the mend Michael. I keep threatening to go, and probably could have scrounged a seat in a car or van, as there's plenty go over from NI for the show. I'm also scared I would inevitably open my wallet, which is a scary thought, and bring home more stuff I don't need  :-\ Did any of you catch the auction on the Saturday of all the early US bikes? It looked really interesting.
In the end I had a cracking weekend with the Irish Enfield crowd. 10 euro per night to stay in the Irish Mountaineering Hut in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains, with a rideout on the Saturday, all in good weather  :)

Pleased it was a successful event, sorry I couldn't make it but I'd double booked for the Ecky Thump rally at Cropton, which was also successful. Went on the little RS250 with all of the gear that I would normally carry on the Tenere! 250 miles and great fun to ride.

Hope to see some of you at the Dragon.

Cheers Steve
If I'm not working I'll be away on my bike camping!

Nice part of the world, Cropton, especially the New Inn with its own brewery and cider production  ;) I previously stayed in the nearby Forestry Commission campsite.
