Rebuilding the carb for 'Morini the Minx' 125H single cylinder 4 stroke. Careful dismantling revealed some potential horrors and reasons "Why?" the wee beastie was reluctant to idle and rough on the opening throttle.
Main jet more than 10% oversize, float needle worn, throttle needle 'cleaned' using emery, but still pitted!
