Excellent Michael, he must be sending you the programme packs, as there isn't such a thing as a ticket for the event, to the best of my knowledge. All you need is somewhere to stay, which is much easier to find than for TT week, and your ferry tickets. Earlier you book, the cheaper it is
A lot of people still don't realise that the Classic TT and the Manx GP are two different events.
The Manx is as always a newcomers event where people cut their teeth, on modern machinery, before perhaps progressing to the full blown TT.
The Classic TT was started in 2013, and is a set of races where the top road racers, such as McGuiness, Dunlops etc compete on classic machinery along with classic racing specialists, in a 350, 500, and F1 and F2 classes.
There is a practice week with a mix of everything, then a couple of days of Classic TT, followed by a couple of days of the Manx GP. The racing is fantastic, but even more engaging is all the side events and meet ups of classic bikes, which are literally everywhere you look all over the island, with the highlight being Jurby on the middle sunday.
Also, there is the Manx Trial over the mid weekend, and even better, the classic trial over the last weekend.
Ive been twice now, and the whole thing just blows my mind! Hence, it is now our annual family summer holiday
