Great weekend - thanks Tim !! Super friendly people, good food and drink, brilliant riding and campsite. Crazy weather though. To add to the rain, wind, snow, sleet, bright sunshine and hailstones I had seriously bad fog in North and Mid Wales on the way home.
Looking forward to going again.

Yes, a big thanks to everyone who made the effort to come to this far off and strange outpost of the UK  ;)
Altogether we ended up 25 of us Thumper/RE, 25 of the Hillbillies/Stirling MCC from Scotland, and 30 ABR forum. Colin looked after us all great as usual which makes running the whole thing real easy for me. So I'm quite happy to do it all again. I might even let you ride some A and B class roads on the rideout next time!
I was also helping out with then Wirral Wobblers, which was like herding cats, while they were over. Catch them on BBC iPlayer, Newsline, 03/05/2016.

Just got back home from the Shepherds Rest Thumper Meet at 2.00am this morning after catching the 9.15pm Saturday night ferry from Rosslare to Fishguard. After the gathering I headed up to Malin Head, Co Donegal the most northerly point in Ireland and then headed south following the "Wild Atlantic Way" route as far as practically possible. The weather was not very kind, which drove me onto the N roads at times and also to seek shelter in hostels for the night. Crossed the River Shannon by ferry having last done so on my Suzuki GT750 in 1978. Eventually made it down to Mizen Head, Co Cork, the most southerly point in South West Ireland a few days later, taking in sites of interest on the way. Has two fantastic days riding with superb weather following the coast road and mountain routes through Co Kerry & into Co Cork. However, the weather gods saved the best until last, with monsoon rains from Kinsale to Rosslare on the final leg. Total mileage door to door 1,600 miles on my trusty TDM850 which never missed a beat. I had actually planned to take my XT600 Tenere but because of a couple of niggles ended up on the TDM. So whilst being a little late back home a big big thank you to Tim and the Irish lads for organising the meet with great company, riding and food all sorted. Cheers guys. See you all soon. Watch this space for next year. It won't be the bank holiday weekend, or the Cookstown, but a joint do with the Irish sidecar lads, in mid April. Another great bunch of people. Probably will coincide with the Tandragee 100, for anyone who needs a road racing fix  ;)

Thanks Tim,
What a great weekend. Thanks for all your hard work.
Dan and I went to Malin head ont the Sunday and finished up camping by a beach on the Rosguill peninsular. Monday Glenveagh national park to the west coast. Camped at Inishcrone,  next night a very nice hotel in Kinvarra. Shannon ferry and the flying boat museum, well worth the visit thanks for the recommendation. B&B in Killarney [great night out] garage parking for the bikes. Ring  of Beara and the Healey pass, great views. then Mizen Head which was much better than the Cliffs of Moher. which were a bit underwhelming. then another excellent hotel in Cahir. Friday a quick blast up to a campsite just SW of Dublin. buses to the City Centre stop right out side the camp every hour so a night in the city. Temple bar rocks. Saturday got the ferry home. Sunday 5,000 bike  "Ride for life" in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance.
All in all a great 10 days. Highlights, too many to count ,low points Cliffs of Moher.
Roll on next year.
Thanks again Tim, Mart

Excellent. Glad you enjoyed your trip. There are some lovely spots along the Cliffs of Moher, but unfortunately the public main bit is tourism gone mad/bad  :-\
