He's on our screens once again, this evening at 9pm. This time our Guy is off to China. Also, I highly recommend all three of his books, his Autobiography, When You Dead You Dead, and, Worms To Catch  :)

Thanks. I've seen the latest waiting to be wrapped for Christmas, so I'll have to get the other 2 on Kindle on the QT!

Thanks for the heads up Tim.

Brilliant viewing and some fascinating facts like Shanghai port covering 1400 square miles  :o. The stuff about the power station was amazing too.

I find him very engaging as a presenter, even more so, after reading his books, as they give a much better understanding of what makes him tick. It seems he won't ever road race again, and I'm pleased about that. He's done that, and moved on, and won't be risking his life at it anymore  :)

Yes, me too Tim.

Two friends in my local club marshall at the TT every year so they know him slightly, and according to them, in real life he is exactly how he is on the screen. This is very rare in today's 'celebrity' based society and makes a refreshing change from the endless procession of 'plastic' people who cavort across our TV screens.

That'll be partly on account of being born on the Humber. My dad was born up the road in Hull, where a spade is a spade and most definitely not a soil displacement facility  :)
