Hawes in the Dales
« on: May 08, 2017, 12:28:37 PM »
Just letting folk know that the NI Chapter of the Thumper Club, five of us, apart from Guzzi Steve, so Timbo, Rossco500, RonXBR, Chris, and Peter, will be in Hawes from Tuesday 23rd May until Friday 26th May, and all are welcome to join us. I'm camping, cause I'm a cheapskate, but the other four are staying B&B at a pub. We will be having a ride out around the Dales on the Wednesday and Thursday, then, on the Friday, we head up to Gretna in the Scottish borders until sunday  :)

Hi Tim,
I expect/hope to complete L.E. to J.O.G with Nathan Millward on the weekend of 20/21 so may be in that sort of area at about the right time. It all depends on the weather and midges in Scotland. If both are benevolent I may tour around Fuhrer Sturgeons bailiwick for a bit before retuning home. be nice to meet up, if we can, as I havn't seen you for ages.

timbo, next time youre across here, youre more than welcome to come and stay at our place. im 5 miles from blackool, so 40 mins from heysham ferry, theres 2 spare bedrooms now thee kids have flown thee nest so you could just fetch yer sleeping bags and doss down in the empty room, or turn up first and claim the bed in thee other!!!!! secure parking at the back, and easy distance from the lakes and the dales, plus, it wont cost you a bean.

A very kind offer John. There's nine of us altogether in Hawes, and then about eighty of us at Gretna for our annual club Scottish trip  ;)

lol, 9 might be a squeeze, but 80 would certainly not endere me to the neighbours, anyhow, the offer stands, im halfway between preston and blackpool and theres always room for thumper club folks who aree passing by. obviously if 9 of you turn up, youre all going to have to sort out your own bathroom schedule!!!! :D
