Well, that's it over for another year. Thank you to everyone who attended. Altogether, including the Irish Sidecar Owners Club, we numbered fifty souls. We managed two great rideouts. On the Friday, up round the north Antrim coast, Joeys Bar etc, then Saturday a tour around the Sperrins on minor roads, in great weather, with a lap of the Cookstown Roadrace circuit thrown in as well. A highlight for me was having ex roadracer Colin Dawson out on the run with us, and we got him to say a few words about his racing career, and the Cookstown, which he won three times. The sidecar fellas had a shorter run over to spectate at a round of the British Sidecar Motocross Championship which was being held at Desertmartin nearby, which also sounded like a great day out.
As usual we were really well looked after by the Shepherds Rest. On arrival on Thursday, the fire had been lit in the wee cottage, and two cases of beer left out for us free gratis! And not just tins of Carlsbad, but decent bottled ales!
Food, as always was fantastic, and great value, and we had decent music both nights
