That's great. I realise it is a big commitment for people to get over here for the Shep Rest. And I would like to wish everyone a safe journey and a great trip  :)

Thank you Tim & Tommy, much appreciated. Got your number Tommy boy, so in an emergency we have a contact which is fantastic. There may be a number of emergencies travelling with Mr Stevie Dalby, but on tap entertainment is guaranteed with said fellow, so should be plenty of laughs en route!
Rack for the Enfield Continental GT has arrived & new Ortlieb Rack Pack and Micro Three Seasons Bag purchased, so it looks like some Irish miles are in store for me new Thumper. Looking forward to some real Guinness and Irish hospitality. Cheerz Cliff

Dave and Pat, you probably know the area better than anyone ;)
There is a real nice Australian fella called Gregg, who was in Morocco with me, arriving on Thursday morning with his wife on the Birkinhead boat. Probably on an XT. I'm sure you will make them very wecome  :)

Have fun everybody. My daughter is having a sweep tomorrow in order to try and get sprog no 2 to make an appearance, even though she is still a few weeks away from the due date.

I really can't have dragged her up proper - you'd have thought she'd have arranged for the due date to be sometime in the winter, selfish I call it...

Well, that's it over for another year. Thank you to everyone who attended. Altogether, including the Irish Sidecar Owners Club, we numbered fifty souls. We managed two great rideouts. On the Friday, up round the north Antrim coast, Joeys Bar etc, then Saturday a tour around the Sperrins on minor roads, in great weather, with a lap of the Cookstown Roadrace circuit thrown in as well. A highlight for me was having ex roadracer Colin Dawson out on the run with us, and we got him to say a few words about his racing career, and the Cookstown, which he won three times. The sidecar fellas had a shorter run over to spectate at a round of the British Sidecar Motocross Championship which was being held at Desertmartin nearby, which also sounded like a great day out.
As usual we were really well looked after by the Shepherds Rest. On arrival on Thursday, the fire had been lit in the wee cottage, and two cases of beer left out for us free gratis! And not just tins of Carlsbad, but decent bottled ales!
Food, as always was fantastic, and great value, and we had decent music both nights  :)
