10th Annual XT rally
« on: April 25, 2018, 05:03:12 PM »
Just a quick reminder about the XT rally, which quite a few of us have been to before. There's  a great international weekend to be had at Baskerville Hall.

W/E 18th May, so not far away now.

I may only be able to make the Saturday night. Weather looks to be very good too. For anyone in the area, there is a classic car show at Eaton Manor, near Church Stretton on the Sunday, which I hope to take in on the way home  ;)

So, me and Steve D will get down to Baskerville Hall tonight, as we'd like to go on the ride out tomorrow. we may also call over to the Red Lion, just to discuss our rally in August, and check out a few potential roads for our own ride out  :)

Another fantastic weekend in great company. Attendees were, Mark and Hillary, Ifor, Mick, Julian, Simon, Brad XT, tj63, Timbo, SteveD, Stephanie and Howell, Mark and Andrew, so quite a few. Oh, and Otto, who unfortunately injured his paw. Get well soon Otto.
We also had a few day visitors call in, Furrie John and Molly, Russ, and a very generous Robin from the MZ crew who donated £20 to our good health, even though he wasn't staying. This we put towards the Bar-b-q.
On the saturday, some went on the XT rideout, some wondered into Hay, and swam in the river, and a few of us had a very scenic ride over to the Red Lion, to check a few things out for Augusts do. Landlord seems a top bloke, so everything looks good. We then tried to plan a rideout, but the roads and scenery are so good, we had to abandon that, or we wouldnt have got back till midnight! Though what I can say, is that the Devils Staircase and Llyn Brianne will definitely be on the the route  :)
Finally, if i ever come back in another life, it will be as a male veterinary student at Nottingham School of Veterinary, as they were having a formal at Baskerville Hall over the same weekend, and the male students must have been outnumbered by at least five to one. not that I was looking of course  ;)
